How to Make Your Own (Archaeological) Book Club

January 31, 2025 by Paulina Przystupa

Welcome to the Alexandria Archive Institute and Open Context‘s Data Story Shorts! Here in How to Make Your Own (Archaeological) Book Club we explain how we selected and created our Aggregative Series book club Data Stories. Reading and discussion—which we consider ways to read, work with, and communicate data—are essential for all archaeology learners.

A book outlined like a constellation or a neural network with the book on the right hand side. The lins re in a light blue and the background is a black to indigo gradient from black to dark blue/indigo at the top. This is an adaptation of an Adobe Stock image. It is a mirrored version of the Digital Data Stories or Data Literacy Program logo. On the right hand side it reds "Data Story Shorts" in white and below that it reads "A Data Literacy Series". This is "Data Story Shorts Logo" made in 2025 by Paulina F. Przystupa CC BY from the Data Literacy Program (DLP).

Act 16: The story of data stories

January 9, 2025 by Paulina Przystupa

The Data Literacy Program (DLP) section of the Alexandria Archive Institute (AAI) had a smooth, though very busy, end to 2024. We reused and reposted existing materials to coincide with our annual inspiration month prompts, published another Data Story, and wrote the story of our Data Stories.

Act 15: Simmering Stories

November 7, 2024 by Paulina Przystupa

It was a quiet summer here in the Data Literacy Program section of the Alexandria Archive Institute’s (AAI’s) News page. Although we shared a lot of our Sourcing Series segments early in the summer, we took a short break after that. But, behind the scenes, we’ve got a lot of Data Stories work simmering.
